Development process

The choice of project form depends on the complexity, size, and duration of the task. The choice is made in co-operation with the customer.

MaCom generally uses prototype development, meaning that one or more prototype systems will quickly be created during the development process, in order to give the participants of the project a general idea about how the system is shaping up in practice. It is almost always possible to create a prototype within one to three weeks. MaCom uses prototype development both in projects organized as structured courses (after the 'waterfall model'), and in projects organized as experimental courses (ESU) that use an iterative process.

System development projects by the waterfall model

Prototype development can be used in the analytic stage of system of 'waterfall model' development projects. The prototype itself will then become a part of the final system.

At MaCom, we focus on supplying quality solutions. Our staff possesses the necessary technical competence, and they are always ready to meet customer wishes in order to supply the best possible systems.

Iterative system development projects

Iterative system development projects repeatedly run through the phases of analysis, design, implementation, and testing, until the system fully satisfies customer needs. This means that new prototypes are continually created during the course of a project until all requirements are met, and the system is complete. This method is preferred when dealing with complicated projects, because it reveals hidden requirements that would not have been noticed in a traditional analytic phase.
